Doue supports his brother at AFCON while Dembele's rumored attendance sparks confusion; the truth behind their whereabouts is revealed.

Currently on vacation, Desire Doue took the opportunity to attend the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco for family reasons, unlike Ousmane Dembele, who was incorrectly reported to be there.

Of Ivorian origin through his father, Desire Doue did not miss the chance to support the Elephants during their opening match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder was in Morocco on Dec. 24 for the match between the Ivory Coast and Mozambique.

Discreet in his visit, the PSG player was filmed in the stands by attending supporters wearing the orange jersey of the national team. Doue had a fraternal reason for the trip, namely the presence of his brother, Guela, in the Ivorian defensive line.

Another Parisian player was reported to be in Morocco in recent days, but Ousmane Dembele was not in attendance at the Africa Cup of Nations. Contrary to rumors placing him in Africa recently, the Ballon d'Or winner was last in Dubai, where he may receive another award, as the clear favorite at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony following his unparalleled 2025 year.

He was also rumored to be possibly coming to Morocco this Friday for the second match of the Atlas Lions, and thus, the potential major return of Hakimi. But this will not happen, as the ceremony is on Sunday in Dubai and the PSG player is not expected to make the round trip, according to information from Benjamin Quarez of Le Parisien.

As a reference, Hakimi's Morocco faced Mali on Friday, Dec. 26, and will face Zambia on Monday, Dec. 29, on the occasion of the third and final matchday of the AFCON group stage.
