PSG star Desire Doue's brace fueled France's win over Colombia.

After scoring his first two goals for the France national team on Sunday, in his sixth cap, Desire Doue extended a remarkable personal streak that began with PSG last season.

When Doue is on, everything clicks. While he did not have a perfect game Sunday against Colombia, Doue was efficient, scoring his first two goals for the France national team in his sixth cap.

If his call-up this summer for the 2026 World Cup already seemed virtually guaranteed before this March window, it is now hard to see how Didier Deschamps could do without him this summer.

Doue also has a flattering statistic to his credit: every time he scores in a match since last season, his team wins. Before France's victory against Colombia, Doue had scored in 22 matches with PSG since last season, and each time Paris won.

His last goal with Rennes, however, came in a defeat -- but that was before the start of his remarkable streak with PSG, which began on a December 2024 evening in Salzburg in the Champions League. The match that changed everything for Doue at PSG.

When Desire Doue Scores, His Team Wins

As reported by the Ligue 1 website, Desire Doue leads this symbolic ranking of lucky-charm players among the five major European leagues, ahead of Adrien Rabiot, 15.

It is also worth noting that Desire Doue scored his third brace of the season against Colombia, following the one against Monaco in the Champions League playoff first leg and the one against Leverkusen in the league phase.

Last season, Desire Doue also recorded a brace against Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1, but most notably against Inter Milan in the Champions League final.

With Bradley Barcola injured, Desire Doue should start against Liverpool in the Champions League quarterfinal, at least for the first leg at the Parc des Princes on April 8. Let's hope he finds the back of the net and continues his remarkable streak.
