PSG sets an astronomically high price tag for an Arsenal transfer target, per reports.

Scorer against Liverpool (2-0) in the Champions League quarterfinal first leg on Wednesday, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia continues to appeal to Arsenal, per reports.

But the Gunners would be better off forgetting about the Paris Saint-Germain winger, unless they are willing to complete an absolutely insane transfer.

Named man of the match against Liverpool on Wednesday, Kvaratskhelia, 25, is nonetheless proving his critics right. Some argue that the Paris Saint-Germain winger saves his best performances for the biggest occasions of the season.

The theory was confirmed in this Champions League quarterfinal first leg, during which the Georgian international -- beyond his fine goal -- impressed with his ability to make the difference and his defensive involvement.

His performance will only increase his stock in England, where several clubs dream of luring him away. According to CaughtOffside's Mark Brus, three Premier League clubs have inquired about Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's situation.

Two of them have not been identified, but the other one is Arsenal, whose interest has been reported for several months. It appears the Gunners are persisting despite Paris Saint-Germain's answer remaining the same: the former Napoli player is not for sale.

Every source the cited journalist contacted relays the same message, with one exception, noting a staggering price tag. "PSG will not sell him, unless maybe Arsenal offers 180 million euros," Brus explained. "But that is not going to happen."

Pressure from the player himself could have helped Arsenal put the squeeze on the Parisian hierarchy. But Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, signed for 80 million euros in January 2025, has no intention of leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The Gunners would therefore be well advised to prepare a list of alternatives.
