Facing Le Mans FC in the Round of 16 of the Coupe Gambardella, the Parisians secured a clear win this Friday night, thanks notably to a hat trick by Adam Ayari (0-5).
For this Coupe Gambardella match, Thomas Leyssales made only two changes compared to the lineup used in the championship against Orleans, starting young left back Jarell Paisley and midfielder Younes Idder.
For the rest, it was a strong team fielded by Paris Saint-Germain for this round of 16 in a competition that Paris has not won since 1991.

The Parisians started the match perfectly and earned a penalty following a handball by a Le Mans player in the box.
Unfortunately, Tyron Macomba saved the attempt by Mathis Jangeal (8th) before producing another feat by stopping a free kick taken from the edge of his own penalty area (17th).
The third attempt was the charm, and Adam Ayari opened the scoring on the rebound of a ball saved by the Le Mans goalkeeper (0-1, 22nd).
Despite a good end to the first half, Le Mans quickly conceded the second goal after halftime, and Adam Ayari got a brace by finishing a low cross from Pierre Mounguengue (0-2, 49th).
The local players were stunned, and Paris increased the lead thanks to Mathis Jangeal, who converted a shot cleared off the line by the Le Mans defense (0-3, 51st). Shortly after the hour mark, Adam Ayari scored a hat trick (0-4, 68th) before the promising Jarell Paisley added to the score late in the match (0-5, 90th).
