Real Madrid wants PSG midfielder Fabian Ruiz. PSG would sell him if they could replace him with Barcelona's Gavi, according to El Nacional.

Freshly qualified for the Champions League final, PSG hopes to succeed itself on top of Europe. Then, it will be time to think about the summer transfer window. In midfield, Fabian Ruiz is being courted, and head coach Luis Enrique has a clear idea of what he wants.

This season, despite a failed summer transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain is still the best team in Ligue 1, perhaps the best in the world. This success has several explanations. The hard work of Enrique. But also the quality of a young group, destined to dominate for several seasons.

Nevertheless, a few tweaks will be needed during the next transfer window. On Wednesday in Munich, Warren Zaire-Emery, a midfielder by trade, had to fill in at right back.

In midfield, Ruiz, 30, not spared from physical problems (thigh, knee), will be out of contract in June 2027, and it is not certain to stay in the capital.

On Thursday, El Nacional reported that Real Madrid is still actively looking for a new midfielder. And that Ruiz's profile strongly interests the club run by Florentino Perez.

The Spanish player, who is about to enter the final year of his contract and is valued at $43.6 million by specialized websites, would be much less expensive than Rodri or Enzo Fernandez.

Being the only player in his 30s on the PSG roster, along with Lucas Hernandez and Marquinhos, Ruiz does not represent the future in the French capital, at least on paper. The cited outlet claims it knows that Enrique would even agree to sell the former Napoli player. But on one condition.

After missing a large part of the season due to a serious injury, Gavi is just beginning to regain his rhythm with his lifelong club, FC Barcelona. That said, the market value of the 21-year-old Spanish international midfielder has dropped drastically. Going from $98.1 million to $32.7 million within a few months.

That is to say that PSG smells a good deal. Barcelona is not fooled. Its jewel is under contract until 2030, and it will take much more than $32.7 million to sign him this summer. The deal looks very complicated. But on one hand, the Blaugranas still need cash. On the other hand, Gavi has not forgotten the coach who launched him with La Roja. Luis Enrique hasn't either. The idea of a new collaboration could do PSG a lot of good. Let's see.
