Barcelona are eyeing PSG's Bradley Barcola if Raphinha leaves this summer. The 23-year-old winger is valued at $109M and is also wanted by Liverpool and Arsenal.
PSG could lose quite a few offensive players this summer in the transfer window. Bradley Barcola does not lack suitors, notably in Spain.
PSG does not want to revolutionize its squad this summer in the transfer market. The idea is to continue with the same core. Nevertheless, some players have asked to leave, particularly in the attack.
That is the case for Goncalo Ramos and Kang-in Lee. For his part, Barcola does not yet know whether he wants to continue at PSG. The Parisian winger appears to be open to proposals that will come his way.
And he does not lack interested teams: notably Liverpool, Arsenal, and Barcelona. Moreover, the Catalans will come back for the former Lyon prodigy.
According to El Nacional, Hansi Flick has just asked Deco, Barcelona's sporting director, to go after Barcola if Raphinha were to leave Catalonia in the coming weeks.
The German coach also wants to fill the gap left by Marcus Rashford's departure, and Barcola is, in his eyes, the ideal player to keep Barcelona competitive on all fronts. But PSG will not do Barcelona any favors in this case. The French capital club still hopes to convince the former Lyon player to extend his contract.
If PSG agreed to sell Barcola, it would be at a high price, around $109 million. A sale of Raphinha could allow Barcelona to generate significant cash. It remains to be seen whether that would be enough to go after the Lyon native.
For now, the 23-year-old player remains focused on the French national team and the World Cup. But he already knows that he will have to seal his future once the American adventure is over.
The future of Paris Saint-Germain’s attacking department is a complicated topic, and one we have discussed before.
Whether a potential move for previously mentioned targets, such as Crysencio Summerville or Yan Domande, makes sense largely depends on how Luis Enrique views them.
For example, if they are being considered as a possible replacement for Ramos, who has been rumored as a target for AC Milan, then the move would make a great deal of sense and could prove to be an excellent addition.
However, if they are being viewed as potential successors to Barcola, the situation becomes a bit more complicated.
Barcola has as much, if not more, potential as Summerville and Diomande and belongs in the same conversation as other players currently linked with PSG.
