Fenerbahce is interested in PSG backup goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, according to Turkish media. The 24-year-old could leave Paris this summer.

On the bench for more than three months, Lucas Chevalier will surely think about his future during the summer. Especially since Paris Saint-Germain's backup goalkeeper should receive offers. According to Turkish media, one of them could come from Fenerbahce.

Chevalier must find time to be long. Currently in the infirmary due to a thigh injury, the PSG goalkeeper has not played since his Ligue 1 match at Auxerre (1-0) on January 23, more than three months ago. The 24-year-old Frenchman long kept the trust of his coach, Luis Enrique. But an accumulation of errors led to his demotion in favor of Matvey Safonov.

And unfortunately for him, the Russian, without necessarily performing miracles in goal, meets the expectations of the Parisian coach. Chevalier is therefore not close to regaining the starting spot, a situation that risks depriving him of the 2026 World Cup with the French national team.

Suffice it to say that such a scenario will encourage the former Lille player to think about his future. Can Chevalier afford to start next season in the same role? He will surely have to ask himself the question when receiving offers this summer.

A few weeks ago, there was talk of interest from Tottenham, well-placed to remain in the Premier League under Roberto De Zerbi. And on Friday, the Turkish media outlet Fanatik announced a possible approach from Fenerbahce.

The Istanbul club is dissatisfied with Brazilian Ederson's performance and is considering Chevalier as a replacement. It would still be necessary for the destination to interest the natives of Calais.

Last summer, the French international arrived at PSG with very different ambitions. Those of a goalkeeper whose transfer cost $44 million, not counting possible bonuses.
