Liverpool have joined Manchester City, Tottenham and Aston Villa in the race for PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye. The 18-year-old is valued at over €40M.

Back-to-back European champions PSG have become one of the most attractive clubs for Europe's top teams to shop from. That includes players who have not featured regularly, as shown by the transfer interest in Goncalo Ramos and Kang-In Lee.
The same applies to Ibrahim Mbaye, who boosted his profile at the World Cup by scoring against France. Now on vacation, the Senegal international has left his representatives to handle his future, but he has already indicated that leaving PSG would not disappoint him.
Despite being regarded as one of the club's top attacking prospects, something changed after the Africa Cup of Nations, and Mbaye was barely used by Luis Enrique.
The Trappes native is eager for a new challenge, although those around him are trying to convince him to remain in Paris, where the club's ambitions and packed schedule provide opportunities for playing time if he performs well in training.
However, the player has made his decision, and three clubs have already contacted PSG: Tottenham, Aston Villa, and, most notably, Manchester City.
"Anfield Watch are calling it: Liverpool have 'found their next winger' in Ibrahim Mbaye," Anfield HQ wrote on its X account.
"Worth a reality check. That traces back to a French report saying Mbaye fancies the Premier League - not Liverpool specifically. City, Villa, Spurs and United are all credited with interest too," the post continued.
"Meanwhile, the winger story that's actually confirmed - Diomande picking PSG, which, per Romano, opens the door to Barcola - barely gets a mention. Genuine one for the replies: Is Mbaye a realistic alternative on the right, or mostly just a name to fill space while the Barcola situation develops?"
The English media have reported strong Premier League interest in the youngest African goalscorer in World Cup history. Manchester City's involvement, with significant financial backing to support new manager Enzo Maresca, has only intensified the speculation. PSG, however, has no intention of selling cheaply.
The club is reportedly seeking at least 40 million euros, with the fee potentially rising to 50 million euros through bonuses, as it aims to generate 200 million euros in player sales this summer.
In recent hours, Liverpool has also identified Mbaye as a target after cooling its pursuit of Bradley Barcola. The Reds believe a strong offer could make the difference, especially for a player who has already decided he wants to leave PSG. Interest in England continues to grow, and Paris knows its summer business is far from over when it comes to outgoing transfers.
