PSG met with Maghnes Akliouche's representatives in April to discuss a potential transfer, per reports. Monaco could demand around $55M for the winger, who is also being tracked by Manchester United.
Eager to regenerate its offensive sector this summer, PSG is still targeting Maghnes Akliouche. A meeting took place in recent weeks between the capital club and the representatives of the French international.
PSG is not done with recruiting young French prospects from Ligue 1. After getting their hands on Bradley Barcola, Desire Doué and Lucas Chevalier, the capital club is targeting Akliouche.
The trail leading to the AS Monaco French international is not new for PSG, which came to inquire last summer to see if it was possible to recruit the talented 24-year-old left-footer. No agreement had been reached between the parties.
Paris did not insist, judging its offensive sector sufficiently supplied for the 2025-2026 season. The situation could be different this summer. Kang-in Lee is reportedly on his way out, and PSG is still considering Akliouche as a replacement.
According to Foot Mercato, a meeting even took place in April between the Parisian management and the representatives of the French international in Dubai.
The idea was to take the temperature and move forward with a potential transfer, even before discussions officially started with AS Monaco. The trail leading to PSG is now very credible for Akliouche, who personally sees the opportunity to join Desire Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, or even Bradley Barcola, with whom he plays on the French national team, in Paris very favorably. The question now is what sum AS Monaco will demand to let go of their best player.
Not qualified for the Champions League, the Principality club is not in a strong position and needs to sell. Under contract until 2028, the native of Tremblay-en-France should bring in at least $55 million for AS Monaco, which will base itself on PSG's recent transfers of Ligue 1 players to set the price for its right winger, who also has interest in England, where several Premier League powerhouses such as Manchester United are also very interested.
