Real Madrid's hopes of signing Vitinha or Joao Neves are over. Agent Jorge Mendes says the PSG stars are 'very, very happy' in Paris and 'never an option' for Los Blancos.

Faced with persistent rumors sending Vitinha and Joao Neves to Real Madrid, Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes made a categorical statement about his two clients, who will not leave PSG this summer.

Before his re-election as president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez made a major announcement about the upcoming summer transfer window. The Madrid executive was preparing a 150 million euros (around $164 million) offer to sign a world soccer star.

Numerous speculations therefore circulated, given that he had not given the slightest clue about the identity of this famous recruit.

According to some, it was Michael Olise, while others said Perez was targeting the recruitment of Neves or Vitinha, the two Portuguese midfielders at PSG.

And finally, it was announced on Tuesday that Madrid wanted Julian Alvarez, but Atletico Madrid had refused that offer, with the Colchoneros even being very mocking toward their neighbor.

To return to Neves and Vitinha, the agent of the two Portuguese PSG stars put an end to all the speculation that could arise this summer. Even if the sale of the two players could bring in $305 million for Paris, Al-Khelaifi and Luis Campos have no intention of selling them.

In comments relayed by Fabrizio Romano, Mendes quickly put a stop to all the rumors, sending one of his two clients to Real Madrid. "Vitinha and Joao (Neves) were never an option for anyone. They are non-negotiable for Paris Saint-Germain, and they are very, very happy in PSG — they will continue collecting trophies," he announced.

A strong statement that should reassure Parisian supporters: their two midfield maestros will not leave this summer.

A windfall also and above all for Luis Enrique, who will be able to continue to benefit from the talent of his two Portuguese midfielders for at least one more season. It is with them that he won the last two Champions League titles, and it is clearly with them that he will try to go for a third at the end of next season. Real Madrid will have to look elsewhere because there is nothing to see in Paris.

It is going to be very difficult for any key piece of PSG, from the recent achievement of two consecutive Champions League titles, to want to leave the club. The logic is simple: why leave a stable and winning project for an unstable one in the middle of a transition? It does not make much sense.
