PSG could offer Bradley Barcola to Bayern Munich in a swap deal to lower Michael Olise's $218M price tag, according to reports.
Very interested in recruiting Michael Olise, PSG could offer Bradley Barcola to Bayern Munich to lower the price for the former Crystal Palace winger, valued at $218 million.
With Real Madrid in the sights, Olise is also attracting interest from PSG. It must be said that the Bayern Munich winger is coming off a breathtaking season in Germany with 22 goals and 31 assists in all competitions. Staggering numbers that push PSG to look very closely at Olise's situation.
On Wednesday night, L'Equipe du Soir revealed that Luis Campos was active in this case and hoped to make a huge splash in the transfer market by securing the new star of the French national team. Such a transfer will, however, be difficult to conclude. Bayern Munich has repeatedly stated in recent days that the former Crystal Palace striker is not for sale.
A trend confirmed by PSG Inside Actu, an insider who believes that negotiations will not be possible below $218 million. Unless Paris gets clever, for example, by including Barcola in the transaction.
"In my opinion, as the club's sporting management has already suggested, discussions wouldn't even start below $218 million. Under these conditions, I have a hard time imagining a short-term departure," the insider explained before concluding.
"The only possibility could come from Bayern's interest in certain Parisian players. We know, for example, that Barcola is highly appreciated in Germany."
It remains to be seen whether the striker trained at Lyon, whose contract with PSG expires in June 2028 and who also interests Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal, would be open to continuing his career in Germany. Valued at just over $109 million by PSG, Barcola would allow the Parisian club to lower the final bill for Olise. Provided, of course, that such a swap interests the Bavarian club.
Samir Khiat, agent for Remi Himbert, Ismael Gharbi, and Jonathan Bamba, appeared recently on L'Equipe. Khiat shared that contrary to what Bayern Munich has been saying in recent days, Olise is not untransferable.
According to him, the reigning German champion can accept an offer from PSG during the transfer window, provided, of course, that Paris reaches a record price for the 24-year-old French winger.
"Olise to PSG is not mission impossible. Paris is capable of being in that market. When a president announces a player is untransferable, that is completely false. From a certain amount, he opens the door no matter what," he said.
