But PSG should also receive offers for other members of their squad. Lucas Beraldo, who is gaining momentum in Paris in the midfield position, is more sought-after than ever. In Turkey, his profile is drawing the attention of one of Istanbul’s clubs in particular.
According to AKŞAM, the Brazilian defender is on Fenerbahçe's shortlist, and the club would like to sign him in the coming days. Still under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028, Beraldo will not be sold off cheaply.
Especially since head coach Luis Enrique thinks highly of him and now intends to use him fully in the midfield. The Brazilian’s recent performances have been particularly convincing, and he even showed a lot of character in the last Champions League final against Arsenal.
Barring a twist, the Turkish approach for Beraldo should therefore be refused by the European champions, except for a record offer. Fenerbahce’s qualification for the Champions League, secured Wednesday evening at Lyon, could give the Istanbul club an added surge of ambition in this attempt.
Recently, the former Sao Paulo player’s profile had also been linked with Galatasaray and Premier League side Newcastle United. Enough to flatter the player, despite his desire to succeed at Paris Saint-Germain.
This season, spots will be hard to come by at PSG given the competition. The midfield will be particularly closely watched, as the Parisians have decided not to recruit in this area of play this summer, satisfied with the players at their disposal.
