PSG paid €3.3 million to Braga for a right of first refusal on Mario Dorgeles, according to A Bola. The Ivorian midfielder joined Braga in 2025 for €11 million.
PSG is scouring the world to recruit the best young players. The French capital club would have priority if Braga decided to sell Mario Dorgeles.
Since Luis Enrique's arrival on the PSG bench, the Parisian club has shifted its approach in the transfer market. No more buying superstars; the Parisian executives now want to acquire young gems who could blossom in the Rouge et Bleu jersey. The two-time European champions are scouring the world for their next gems.
In the full report of Portuguese club Braga's accounts, PSG paid 3.3 million euros to the club to secure a right of first refusal on Mario Dorgeles, as reported by A Bola. This means the capital club has priority if the Ivorian midfielder (22) is transferred in the future. As a reminder, QSI invested 29.6% of the capital in Braga.
Mario Dorgeles joined the current sixth-place team in the Portuguese league during the summer of 2025 for 11 million euros from FC Nordsjaelland. In Portugal, he has participated in 47 matches across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.
Dorgeles' career could take an interesting turn, as the two clubs he has played for so far are globally known for developing young talent.
In fact, Nordsjaelland has agreements with academies in Ghana, the United States, Denmark, and other places worldwide, and they are even owned by the same owners as MLS side San Diego FC.
Braga, on the other hand, has the particularity of being a satellite club for Paris Saint-Germain, which, at the end of the day, doesn't really buy and sell players between each other, perhaps with the occasional loan from Paris Saint-Germain to Braga, but little more than that.
And now this could be the definitive leap to a club that, in addition to being a club that develops talent and young prospects, is, objectively speaking, the best team in the world, the reigning UEFA Champions League champion, which would undoubtedly put the player on an elite stage.
During his first season in the 2022-2023 campaign with the Danish club, Dorgeles recorded three assists in 21 appearances. The following campaign, he made 31 appearances and scored one goal.
In his final season in Denmark, he also appeared in 31 matches, scoring two goals and providing four assists, which earned him a move to Portuguese club SC Braga.
In the 2025-2026 season, he played 39 matches, scored seven goals, and provided three assists. In eight matches this season, he has recorded one assist.
