PSG are considering Barcelona's Raphinha as a Bradley Barcola replacement, according to reports. Luis Enrique would want the Brazilian winger despite Barça's stance.
Bradley Barcola is set to sign with Liverpool in the coming hours and, on Luis Enrique’s side, there is a desire to sign an additional attacking player. Raphinha would be the PSG coach's No. 1 choice, per reports from Spain.
This time it’s done: Barcola is going to leave Paris Saint-Germain, with Nasser Al-Khelaifi having obtained 140 million euros from the Reds. It is the finest sale in the history of the French capital club, far ahead of the 95 million obtained from Saudi Arabia for Neymar.
Now, Luis Enrique knows that it will not be easy to make up for the departure of the former Lyon player, whom he did not, however, consider an undisputed starter. And if the Catalan media outlet El Nacional is to be believed, the PSG coach asked Luis Campos to resume discussions with Barcelona regarding the possible transfer of Raphinha.
Never mind that Barça fell in PSG’s path in the Champions League, after Ferran Torres, the Parisian manager wants to know the terms of a possible transfer of the 29-year-old Brazilian international.
This is obviously not the first time Raphinha's name has been linked with PSG, but with the cash Paris Saint-Germain has available, Luis Enrique thinks there could be a way to reach an agreement with Barça.
Of course, it is hard to believe that Enrique and Campos, known for focusing on young players in the transfer window, are considering Raphinha.
“FC Barcelona’s position is, for now, inflexible. Raphinha is not for sale, and Flick does not want to lose one of the players who best understands his system. His leadership, experience, and ability to adapt to different positions make him too important a player to be swayed by offers. Despite everything, Luis Enrique wants to leave the door open to discussions,” the cited outlet explained.
Elsewhere, PSG are eyeing Celta Vigo defender Javi Rodríguez as Marquinhos' replacement as Illya Zabarnyi's struggles have forced Paris to look elsewhere.
Faro de Vigo reports that the European champions are interested in the 23-year-old, who shone with his club in last season's Europa League.
Paris Saint-Germain does not want to waste time and is ready to act before Tuesday at 8 p.m. (France time), when the transfer window closes.
At his age, Rodriguez, developed at Vigo, has already played 89 professional matches, and Luis de la Fuente even kept him in the reserve group before Spain won the 2026 World Cup.
