PSG has been linked to Ajax winger Mika Godts, who has 17 goals and 12 assists this season. Barcelona and Arsenal are also interested in the Belgian.
PSG has reportedly been making progress in recent weeks in the recruitment of Belgian winger Mika Godts, who has been brilliant in the colors of Ajax Amsterdam this season.
A year after being very discreet in the transfer market by simply signing Lucas Chevalier and Illya Zabarnyi, PSG should be more active this summer.
The idea is clearly to bring competition within Luis Enrique's squad, while always contributing young players with high potential.
On the winger position, the capital club is exploring several leads. One of them leads to Belgian prospect Godts, not retained by Rudi Garcia to everyone's surprise, for the World Cup in the United States.
The former Genk player is having a superb season with Ajax, accumulating 17 goals and 12 assists in the league. Statistics that have not escaped PSG, according to information from PSG Inside Actu.
The X account reports that the reigning European champion has been following Godts for several weeks. His name keeps coming to mind as the young Belgian has simply caught the eye of Luis Campos and Luis Enrique.
The two men are fans of the player's technical quality, his drive, and his potential, deemed "enormous" by PSG's decision-makers. In recent days, the Parisian club has apparently accelerated to try to beat fierce competition.
Indeed, the cited source indicates that Barcelona and Arsenal are also on the lookout in this case. PSG will therefore have to accelerate quickly to stand a chance of landing the deal. The interest is, in any case, "very real" from PSG.
The Parisian club hopes to convince the Belgian international thanks to the success of several similar profiles in recent years. The signings and breakthroughs of Bradley Barcola, Desire Doue, Willian Pacho, and Joao Neves can indeed serve as examples for the Parisian management to convince Godts to choose Paris over Barcelona or Arsenal.
It is unknown, however, at what price this potential transfer will be discussed. Ajax will, in any case, make an exceptional profit, three years after recruiting the 20-year-old winger for a symbolic 1 million euros from Genk.
