West Ham demands $91M for midfielder Mateus Fernandes, a target for PSG, Arsenal, and Manchester United. The Hammers will not negotiate below that price, per reports.

Very interested in Mateus Fernandes ahead of the next transfer window, PSG will have to spend a small fortune to secure the 21-year-old Portuguese international.

Author of a very solid season with West Ham despite the Hammers' difficulties, Fernandes has little chance of staying at the London club. Regardless of whether his team is relegated or not, the Portuguese is on his way out as the biggest European clubs are on his trail.

This is the case, for example, with Arsenal and Manchester United, both of which are very interested in securing a promising midfielder who has already demonstrated the ability to meet the demands of the Premier League. The Gunners and the Red Devils are not the only ones on the case: PSG is also present.

The Parisian club will not recruit much in midfield, but Fernandes has caught the eye of Luis Campos. Nevertheless, the PSG sporting director will have to spend a fortune to secure the services of the former Sporting Portugal player.

And for good reason, TEAMtalk (h/t Paris Saint-Germain News) reveals that West Ham will not discuss anything below 70 million pounds (just over $91 million) for their player of the season. In recent years, Paris has proven that it is still capable of writing big checks to secure promising players, as evidenced by the signings of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Joao Neves.

But spending $91 million on a young Portuguese player, only 21, would still represent a risk for PSG. Especially since in his mind, Luis Enrique is looking more for a rotational player, Ayyoub Bouaddi, for example, rather than a potential undisputed starter.

The Parisian club still plans to rely on Fabian Ruiz, Warren Zaïre-Emery, Vitinha, and Joao Neves next season. In this sense, PSG will certainly have to ask itself whether spending $91 million on Fernandes next summer is really worth it.
