Crucial points on the line as inconsistent Everton hosts in-form Manchester United. Who will triumph in this high-stakes Premier League showdown?

Everton will face Manchester United in an exciting match on Matchweek 27 of the Premier League in the 2025-26 season. It will be a meeting between two historic English football teams that arrive at this match needing to take all three points in the league championship.

The Toffees arrive at this match with an inconsistent run in their last five games: two wins, two draws, and one loss, with six goals for and six against. In their most recent game, they fell to AFC Bournemouth (1-2) on February 10, although before that, they secured an important away victory against Fulham (1-2) on February 7.

Previously, they drew against Brighton & Hove Albion (1-1) on January 31, and Leeds United (1-1) on January 26, in addition to achieving a valuable win visiting Aston Villa (0-1) on January 18. With these results, David Moyes’ team is in ninth place in the standings with 37 points.

For their part, the Red Devils are going through an excellent moment, with four wins and one draw in their last five matches, all under Michael Carrick as interim manager, and 10 goals scored and only five conceded. In their most recent match, the Red Devils drew against West Ham United (1-1) on February 10.

Before that, they strung together four consecutive wins: against Tottenham (2-0) on February 7; Fulham (3-2) on February 1; Arsenal (2-3) on January 25, and Manchester City (2-0) on January 17. With that, Manchester United is fifth with 45 points, in the thick of the fight for European places, and could return to the Champions League zone with a win.

The last duel between the two teams was played on November 24, 2025, in the Premier League, with Everton winning 0-1 at Old Trafford. This result meant an important triumph for the Toffees on rival turf, breaking a streak of negative results against Manchester United.

Previously, in August 2025, both teams drew 2-2 in a friendly match, while in February of the same year, they also drew 2-2 at Goodison Park in the Premier League. So Monday’s match will allow the Red Devils to get back to winning ways against this rival.
