Chelsea's new manager reveals his lifelong admiration for Manchester United's legendary boss and his inspirational youth-focused tactics.

Manchester United and Chelsea are currently going through the same scenario as they decided to part ways with their managers, Ruben Amorin and Enzo Maresca, mid-season after deteriorations in their relationship with their respective club managements.

United have yet to appoint a permanent replacement for Amorin, with Darren Fletcher serving as interim manager, while the Blues brought in Liam Rosenior from their sister club FC Strasbourg within a week of Maresca's departure, offering him a six-and-a-half-year contract.

Chelsea have seemingly started life well under Rosenior as they thrashed Charlton by five goals to one during their FA Cup third round clash on Saturday, as the Englishman talked about the special role of Manchester United in career.

Liam Rosenior's admiration for Manchester United

During an interview with Reuters (h/t The Week) the newly appointed Blues manager admired the Reds and Alex Ferguson saying, "I was a Manchester United fan and I am now massively a Chelsea fan," he also added, "I remember Alex Ferguson was brave enough to put six or seven players aged between 19 and 21 into a ?title-winning team because he believed in them. They grew and won trophy after trophy. It was an amazing period in that club's history."

It seems everyone else but United remembers the glorious history of the club since the days of Sir Matt Busby's young team to becoming the first English side to win the European Cup in 1968, a decade after the Munich disaster, which shook world football.

As for Sir Alex's achievements, out of the thirteen Premier League titles he won, six of them came since the start of Rosenior's playing career, which has seemingly left a mark on the 41-year-old's coaching style.

Rosenior also talked about Ferguson's trust in his youngsters, who won the historic treble in 1999, as United's class of '92 outshined all the other well-established players both domestically and in Europe.

The Chelsea manager certainly has the talent to emulate that fearless United side with the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Cole Palmer, Estevao Willian, Josh Acheampong, Malo Gusto, and many more currently at his disposal.

Though United have developed promising young players recently, many, including Marcus Rashford and Garnacho, have struggled due to club issues. Kobbie Mainoo also faced limited playtime under Amorin, but his prospects may change with a new manager.
