Manchester United Interim Manager Darren Fletcher predicts the young player is bound to have a big future.

Manchester United played their first game under interim manager Darren Fletcher after the mid-season departure of Ruben Amorin, following a poor run of results that led to the Portuguese manager's sacking.

United were unable to produce a winner after Jaidon Anthony levelled the scores at 2-2 for Burnley during the 65th minute, despite a brilliant display throughout the match, resulting in their third drawn game in a row.

The Reds took a total of 24 shots on their opponent's goal, which is a major positive alongside Benjamin Sesko's brace, as the Slovenian international scored his first goal since his goal against Sunderland at the start of October.

Shea Lacey

Another player who played surprisingly well since his introduction deep into the second half was young Shea Lacey, who came in for Manuel Ugarte in the 84th minute of the game and rattled the crossbar with his first attempt at goal as the traveling fans almost jumped out of their seats.

The 18-year-old was a live wire until the final whistle blew as he seemed to rejuvenate United's hopes of scoring a winner, and his manager was full of praise for him during the post-match press conference.

Fletcher talked about Lacey saying (h/t Manchester World), "I said to him, 'Stay wide and go and do what you can do',"

The manager also added,"He is exciting, he is direct, he is fearless. He has had a lot of injuries in recent years. He will be a big part of Manchester United's future, I am sure of that."

People around the club had already been advising Amorin to give Lacey some game time alongside another youngster, Kobbie Mainoo, but the former manager repeatedly denied United's young talents their well-deserved minutes.

It seems Lacey and Mainoo are both expected to feature during United's FA Cup clash against Brighton on Sunday to excite the Old Trafford crowd with their energetic style of play.

Fletcher is also expected to be in the dugout during the Brighton game as the club management is on the lookout for a permanent head coach as the Reds look to secure a top-four finish at the end of the season.
