One of the biggest success stories of the Michael Carrick era so far has undoubtedly been Harry Maguire's renaissance into the starting XI.
Whilst it is true that the defender's situation under Ruben Amorim was not as terminal as it was for Kobbie Mainoo, you always got the sense that the Portuguese manager did not quite fancy him for whatever reason.
Plus, through nobody's fault in particular, Maguire was beginning to spend quite a lot of time on the sidelines thanks to inconvenient and ill-timed injuries that he had picked up.
However, he is now fully fit and firing, and starting every game. Ever since Carrick came in, the 32-year-old has forged an excellent partnership with Lisandro Martinez at the heart of the United defence.
In fact, Maguire has been so good since he came in that Thomas Tuchel recently confirmed that he, Mainoo, and Luke Shaw were all back in the picture for the England national team, ahead of the World Cup in North America this summer.
There is one issue with United's number five, however. Indeed, his contract at the club is set to expire this summer. With four months remaining, there have been no reports suggesting an extension of his seven-year stay at the club is currently close.
So, until we hear otherwise, the possibility of Maguire exiting on a free transfer this summer is very much real. Plus, according to reports, the defender is wanted by Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah.
This adds up when you remember that the Saudi Arabian side are coached by Brendan Rodgers, who was briefly Maguire's manager at Leicester City back in 2019, before his move to Old Trafford that summer.
Although players have the ambition to compete at the highest level, there is no doubt that the money on offer would be tempting for any player. Particularly as reports suggest that United want the player to take a wage cut to extend his contract at the club.
It would be a huge shame to lose Maguire, but you can understand why he would make that move, particularly with his former manager in charge. There are a number of high profile players in the squad too, such as Italy striker Mateo Retegui, and former Real Madrid captain Nacho.
Well, let's wait and see. Certainly one to keep an eye on over the coming months.
