Manchester United fans have urged the club to accept an offer for goalkeeper Andre Onana, as his place in the team is seriously threatened.

Altay Bayindir was the starter in Manchester United's three Premier League matches this season, while Onana only played one match, in the Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby.

On transfer deadline day, Senne Lammens signed for the Old Trafford club, which left Onana's future even more uncertain.

According to Takvim, Trabzonspor are interested in the Cameroonian goalkeeper and could make a loan offer before the closure of the Turkish transfer window on the 12th of September.

Many Red Devils fans immediately urged the club to accept the offer after Onana made a direct error that led to two goals against Grimsby.

Others expressed their hope that Turkey would become the "salvation" for Manchester United, even hoping the deal would become a permanent purchase rather than a simple loan.

One former Man Utd star believes this could actually happen.

Onana's performance has been criticised since he arrived at United two years ago. He missed the first two matches of the season through injury, and upon his return, he was on the bench for the 3-2 victory over Burnley.

Senne Lammens, the new £18m signing who signed a five-year contract, is said to be in line to take over as the Red Devils' first-choice goalkeeper soon.

Last month, it was reported that Inter Milan wanted to re-sign Onana due to his excellent performance as a goalkeeper for the Italian team. However, the Italian press later denied it, as Inter Milan were still happy with their current goalkeeper, Yann Sommer.
