Manchester United could have climbed up to fifth position in the league, but a late equalizer from West Ham has seemingly frustrated the everyone around the club.

After a brilliant comeback victory against Crystal Palace, Manchester United's ambitions for a top four finish was back on track but yesterday's draw against West Ham has seemingly frustrated the Reds.

Soungoutou Magassa's 83rd minute equalizer saw the United dugout's visible frustration as Set piece coach Carlos Fernandes rushed towards his seat after the poorly defended corner by United.

The Red Devils by far has been the best team when it comes to set pieces, but as it seems, the team will need to work a lot while defending the dead ball situations

Manager Ruben Amorin also lashed out on his side saying,

“We are really inconsistent,” he said. “If you look at the goal — 83 minutes — we have a long ball, we have everything under control, we need to do better.”

United has only won one out of their last five games while drawing three and and loosing one. With a win against West Ham, the Reds would have moved upto fifth in the league but it the Hammers and Magassa had other plans as they snatched a point from Old Trafford.

The Reds started the game brilliantly while having majority of the ball possession in the first half but unfortunately failed to convert the opportunities in the first 45 minutes.

The deadlock was broken in the 58th minute as Diogo Dalot converted a loose ball from close range giving United the lead in the all important midweek fixture.

Does United need to sign a striker in the upcoming transfer window?

Manchester United had a major chunk of the chances during the game but the inability of the attackers to convert them into goals was visible once again.

Joshua Zirkzee was given another start after his goal against Palace last weekend but failed to get on the scoresheet yesterday. Despite being a live wire, he was substituted by Mason Mount in the 78th minute of the game.

The Reds are feeling the absence of a clinical striker in their attacking third. Benjamin Sesko could be the answer for them when he returns from injury, but as it seems Amorin and the club management will need to look to sign a striker when the winter transfer window opens.
