Manchester United is already planning for the summer while chasing a Champions League spot. With defensive issues troubling the squad, the Red Devils have set their sights on a Fulham defender.

Manchester United is in the race to qualify for the next edition of the UEFA Champions League. They intend to return to the most important European competition for the clubs where the club belongs to stay.

The club is currently third in the league with 51 points, with 14 wins, 9 draws, and 6 losses. The Red Devils are on the same points as Aston Villa, which is fourth. The club started the season under the guidance of Ruben Amorim and made a number of summer transfers.

Things under the Portuguese coach didn’t go well, and the club decided to fire Amorim and hire a former club legend, the former midfielder Michael Carrick, as interim coach until the end of the season. Under Carrick, things seem to have improved, and the team's results and performances have improved.

The players are fighting to qualify for the next edition of the UEFA Champions League. The players are fighting on the pitch, while the club is preparing plans for the upcoming summer transfer market. The Red Devils intend to invest across different areas of the team to improve it.

One area where the club is looking at different profiles to find the right players is defense. The club's scouts are watching different defender profiles from inside and outside the Premier League.

The club isn’t totally happy with the defenders' performances this season, which have been up and down, and their mistakes have cost the team several points. Also, the defenders have sustained several injuries, which have prevented the team's coach from selecting the defenders they wanted during the season.

One defensive role the club intends to invest in is left back. They are searching for a replacement in the long term for their current left back, Luke Shaw. For this reason, the Red Devils are looking at Fulham, and the club is interested in Antonee Robinson. The 28-year-old left back has been part of Fulham since 2020, and his contract expires in 2028.

Robinson has played a total of 206 matches for Fulham with 3 goals scored and 22 assists. This season, the left back has played a total of 17 matches, with 1 assist. He has been part of Fulham for a long time and, year after year, has become an important member of the team.

According to SportsBoom, Fulham has put a price tag of 25 million pounds on the American left back. It remains to be seen if the Red Devils will agree on an agreement with Fulham for the left back.
