Manchester United is continuing in its fight in order to secure qualification for the next UEFA Champions League, and things on the pitch are going well under the new coach, Michael Carrick. Under their interim coach, the Red Devils have won every match until now in the Premier League.

As the coach and players are working on the pitch, from the other side, the club and the directors are also working towards the summer market in order to find the right profile for the team in order to strengthen it more for the next season.

One aspect where the club thinks to find reinforcements is the defense. There are going to be several changes in the defense of the Red Devils in the next season. With the contract of Harry Maguire expiring this summer, the club is looking for another defender in order to replace him.

To find this replacement, United is looking in Serie A, particularly at Juventus. They are interested in signing Pierre Kalulu. The defender of Juventus has had outstanding performances during these two seasons at Juventus. He has been a key element of the Italian team with all the coaches of Juventus during these two seasons. The contract of Kalulu with Juventus expires in 2029.

Another reason that makes the Red Devils interested in the French defender is the fact that Kalulu can play in different positions in defense, as a central defender, but also as a right back. Also, due to his age, Kalulu can be a long-term investment.

Manchester United are ready to start negotiations with the Italian team in order to secure the services of the French defender. It remains to be seen if Juventus is ready to sell a key element of their team and if United will achieve a deal for a very strong defender like Kalulu.
