Manchester United eyes Sassuolo's Muharemovic and Leipzig's Bitshiabu, seeking to bolster defense with two highly-rated young center backs this summer.

Once they recover their smile with the help of Michael Carrick, Manchester United is also willing to play its cards in the transfer market. That is why they have noted two wishes for their defense: center backs Tarik Muharemovic (Sassuolo) and El Chadaille Bitshiabu (RB Leipzig).

If everything follows its normal course, Manchester United will be one of the agitators of the summer transfer period. For that, however, securing their direct ticket to the next edition of the Champions League seems crucial.

Undoubtedly, its higher-ups are already sketching their ambitious market plans with the firm purpose of granting more resources to Michael Carrick. A manager who is competing to earn long-term continuity on the bench is now highlighting two alternatives to boost his rearguard.

On one hand, reports from England indicate that United has been captivated by the emergence of the promising El Chadaille Bitshiabu, 20. He is contracted to RB Leipzig until June 2029. The French defender has played 12 matches in total: seven in the Bundesliga, four in the Champions League, and one in the DFB-Pokal. Bitshiabu totals 642 minutes on the pitch, contributing one assist and not having scored any goals yet. The young defender has received two yellow cards so far this campaign. Despite not being a fixed starter, his top speed of 35.2 kilometers per hour places him among the fastest center-backs in German football.

On the other side, at Old Trafford, they are also tracking the steps of Tarik Muharemovic, 22. His level has been superb with Sassuolo, appearing on the radar of other clubs like Real Madrid, Inter Milan, or Juventus. The Red Devils' intentions to strengthen the back line remain to be seen.

The Bosnian center back has participated in 21 matches for Sassuolo in Serie B. During the current season, the Juventus player on loan to the Emilian club has accumulated 1,785 minutes of play, in which he has scored one goal and registered no assists. In the disciplinary department, referees have shown him four yellow cards. His performance has been fundamental for the team's defensive stability, standing out especially in aerial play.

Muharemovic has stood out for his aerial ability and his ball-playing skills, averaging 88% effectiveness in short passes. His only goal of the season came from a headed finish in a corner kick against Spezia in November.
