Manchester United eyes impressive Ivorian midfielder as ideal successor. Scouts praise his midfield dominance and composure, fueling a potential £43 million bid.

The Ivorian has enjoyed a stellar rise at the City Ground, attracting attention from top scouts across Europe with his commanding performances in midfield. As the club looks to navigate the post-Casemiro era, Manchester United sees Ibrahim Sangare as the ideal successor to the veteran Brazilian.

CaughtOffside claims United's scouts have been impressed by his dominance in duels and composure under pressure. His physical attributes and tactical intelligence make him a rare find in today's market.

Although Nottingham Forest signed Sangare for around £30 million in 2023, it is fully aware of his skyrocketing value. The club is expected to hold out for a fairly significant profit, and reports suggest Forest intends to start negotiations with a higher figure, around £43 million.

Vitor Pereira's team finds itself in a situation where it might need at least one major sale this summer to balance the books. Sangare, Elliot Anderson, and Murillo are among its most valuable assets, with his contract running through 2028. United will have to pay a premium to secure their potential Casemiro replacement.

United is not the only team closely tracking Sangare, who has fully adapted to the rigors of English football. Aston Villa and West Ham are also monitoring his situation, as they look to bolster their defense, and the Hammers have even tried to sign Sangare previously.

European heavyweights Bayern Munich and Liverpool have tracked him in the past, suggesting Sangare's profile is appealing to elite clubs. However, Manchester United has the financial muscle to close the deal and may see him as a more cost-effective option than alternatives such as Adam Wharton or Carlos Baleba. Anderson, meanwhile, appears destined to join rival Manchester City.

Sangare's potential arrival could be a game-changer for whoever is named the club's permanent manager in the summer, as he would bring the defensive stability that has often been lacking and allow United's more creative players to move with greater freedom.

It remains to be seen whether United will step up their interest with an official bid, but Sangare could be a transformative addition for the team, which is looking to return to the top of the Premier League.
