Desire Doue has taken the world by storm following his brace in Paris Saint-Germain’s 5-0 win over Inter Milan. It’s every youngster’s dream to play in a Champions League final, but to score a brace and completely dominate your opponents is something else entirely.

Doue has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign. The 19-year-old has scored five goals and provided four assists in 16 Champions League appearances this season.

Following PSG’s win, the French winger spoke to Reuters and praised PSG’s manager Luis Enrique. He said:

“He’s (Luis Enrique) been here for two years and he has made history for the club. Tactically and mentally, he is a really good coach, unbelievable, and as a human being too. It is a pleasure to work with him. I don’t know how we’ll celebrate but it’s going to be crazy.”

After the departure of Kylian Mbappe last summer, it’s remarkable how Enrique has managed to create one of the best teams in Europe. He has developed youngsters like Doue and Bradley Barcola into key players. Ousmane Dembele’s rise can also be credited to the coach, as he shifted him to a more central position, and the Frenchman has excelled in that role.

Enrique, along with the whole squad, has truly scripted history, and the magnitude of their dominance in the Champions League final will be talked about for a long time to come.
