Paris Saint-Germain proved once again why they are the European champions, with a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich that helped them book their place in the Club World Cup semi-finals, where they will be facing Kylian Mbappe's Real Madrid. A mouthwatering matchup, to say the very least.

Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele were the two goalscorers for PSG on the day, as has been the case so many times this season. There were plenty of other talking points coming out of the game as well.

Unfortunately, Jamal Musiala's injury will be the biggest one. We wish him the best of luck in his recovery and hope to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible.

Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez were also sent off, which makes things interesting heading into the semis against Real Madrid and gives Luis Enrique an extra puzzle to solve.

Enrique appears to be pretty content with what he saw from his team against Bayern Munich. He said after the game:

"It was a very difficult match. It's always difficult to play against a great team like Bayern Munich. And thinking about the last part of the match where we played with one man less and then two, it was very difficult. I think it was a close game. We knew beforehand that it would be difficult, but we're happy.

"We have to recover and focus on the semi-final. In this very long season, to come here with that attitude that we see from the team in each training session and each game…I think we deserve to be here. I also think our fans deserve to see this. I hope we'll keep improving and be able to play another final, that's our goal."

Of course, Real Madrid will be a difficult test for PSG, as they are for any team, especially in one-off knockout games.

PSG should be confident about their ability to get the better of any team in world football right now. If they are successful against Real Madrid in the semis, they will face either Chelsea or Fluminense in the final of the Club World Cup.
