PSG Completes Perfect Year With 6 Trophies cover image

From a 1970 merger to a historic sextuple, PSG conquers Europe and France, rewriting club history with six stunning trophies.

In 1970, in Paris, France, two teams, Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain, merged. This gave birth to Paris Saint-Germain.

In 2025, on its 55th anniversary, the Parisian club will undoubtedly remember this year as the greatest in its history. After so many painful defeats and eliminations, the Parisian squad managed to lift the UEFA Champions League on May 31.

That was only the crown of all the trophies achieved by the Parisian club in 2025. Today, we will review them all.

French Super Cup (Trophee des Champions)

The path for the Parisian club toward this trophy-filled 2025 began on Jan. 5 in the French Super Cup final. The match was played at Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar, against AS Monaco. After a tight match destined for penalties, Spaniard Fabián Ruiz provided a perfect assist for the Ballon d'Or winner, Ousmane Dembélé, to finish at the far post and defeat AS Monaco goalkeeper Philipp Köhn, who until then had been the star of the match.

13th Consecutive Ligue 1 Title

On April 5, at the Parc des Princes, the Parisian club played a decisive match against Angers SCO. With a 1-0 result (a goal by Désiré Doué in the 55th minute), the Parisian squad lifted its 13th Ligue 1 title. With this victory, PSG established itself as the most successful club in France, pulling away from Saint-Étienne (10 titles) and Marseille (9).

16th French Cup

The next title for the Parisian club arrived on May 24 at the Stade de France in Paris in a match against Stade de Reims. The match ended with a convincing 3-0 score following a brilliant performance by Bradley Barcola, who scored the first two goals and provided the assist for the third goal scored by the Moroccan Achraf Hakimi.

The Dream Finally Came True: UEFA Champions League

On May 31, the most important moment in the history of the Parisian club arrived as, for the second time, PSG reached the UEFA Champions League final. The opponent was Inter Milan of Italy.

The Parisian club arrived motivated after defeating Liverpool on penalties, shortly after beating Aston Villa with a 5-4 aggregate score, and finally, Arsenal with a 3-1 aggregate score.

Meanwhile, the Italian side arrived motivated after an exciting match against FC Barcelona. That encounter ended with an aggregate score of 7-6.

The match took place at the Allianz Arena in Munich. As a curious fact, in all the finals played at that stadium, the winners have been first-time UEFA Champions League champions.

Luis Enrique's squad managed to easily defeat the Italian side with a score of 5-0. The goal scorers were Désiré Doué (two goals and MVP), Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Senny Mayulu.

After 55 years of history, Paris Saint-Germain managed to lift its first UEFA Champions League.

Continental Dominance: UEFA Super Cup

To continue on the path toward the "sextuple," the Parisian club faced the Europa League champion, Tottenham Hotspur, on Aug. 13. The outlook did not look good for the Parisian club as it began the match losing 2-0. But later, with goals from Lee Kang-in and Gonçalo Ramos, the Parisian squad extended the match to penalties.

In the shootout, debutant goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier became a hero by stopping the penalty from Van de Ven.

The Sextuple Arrived: FIFA Intercontinental Cup

Paris Saint-Germain managed to establish itself as the third team in the world to achieve the "sextuple" after playing the FIFA Intercontinental Cup on Dec. 17, 2025, at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

The final test for the Parisian club was against the Brazilian side Flamengo. The Parisian club began the match winning with a goal from the Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. But shortly after, following a penalty committed by captain Marquinhos, Flamengo scored the equalizer, extending the match to penalties.

Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov became the legend of the night by stopping four penalties in the decisive shootout.

After this result, the Parisian club managed to lift its sixth title of 2025. Without a doubt, it is a year that will live in the memories and hearts of all the fans of the Parisian club.
