PSG is set to secure Barcelona's teenage talent, Dro Fernandez, by activating his release clause after he agreed to a contract.

Reportedly in Paris Saint-Germain's sights, Dro Fernandez has already reached an agreement with the French capital club. Paris is now said to have moved on to paying the release clause.

Just days after informing his formative club of his intention to leave Barcelona, young Dro Fernandez has apparently already made his choice for his future.

Coveted by, among others, Manchester City and Bayern, the 18-year-old attacking midfielder has chosen to join Paris and has reached an agreement with the capital club.

PSG Poised to Sign Barcelona's Dro by Triggering Release Clause

According to the French press, Pedro Fernández Sarmiento and PSG have agreed on a four-and-a-half-year contract, running until June 2030.

This departure is a blow for Barcelona and especially for its coach Hansi Flick, who had integrated the attacking midfielder into his plans and gave him his first minutes with the first team last September.

Dro even started a UEFA Champions League match, but he believed his future at Barcelona was blocked as he hadn't played a single minute since December despite many FC Barcelona matches. According to the Catalan press, Flick was reportedly hit hard upon learning of his protege's departure.

The young midfielder, who just turned 18, was convinced by Luis Enrique, who is involved in this matter and already seems to know how to use him.

The focus is now on the flaw in the player's contract: his six-million-euro release clause, which PSG will trigger. According to information from RMC, the Parisian club has contacted FC Barcelona regarding this.

This is one of the final steps in the process that will bring Dro Fernandez to France, as the payment of release clauses is always a technical subject in Spain, since the player must provide the sum.

But the outcome of the matter now seems very clear: Dro should become a Parisian player within the next few days, given that it's the club the Galician has chosen. He is described as an intelligent and very calm player when making decisions.
