Paris Saint-Germain will look to win their first UEFA Champions League crown against Inter Milan on Saturday and also become the 24th side to win Europe's elite club competition.
This will be PSG's second Champions League final appearance after their defeat against Bayern Munich in the final in Lisbon in 2020, which will definitely be on the minds of the Parisians when they travel to Munich on Saturday.
According to UEFA's official website, Paris will be facing an Italian side for the 26th time across all competitions in Europe when they take on Inter tomorrow night.
Although the records are not in PSG's favour, as they have managed to win only six of those matches, drawing nine times and being defeated 10 times against Italian clubs, while conceding 33 goals and scoring 27 goals in return.
PSG's last outing against an Italian club was against Inter's city rivals AC Milan during last season's group stage of the Champions League, where they won the home game 3-0 but lost 2-1 in the away fixture.
While in finals in European club competitions, PSG lost to Juventus in the 1996 Super Cup, but defeated Brescia on away goals in the 2001 UEFA Intertoto Cup final.
Surprisingly, PSG will be facing Inter for the first time in Europe this weekend, and will hope to bring joy to their fans by winning the coveted trophy for the first time in the club's history and better their record against Italian sides in European competitions in the process.
