Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's explosive 28-minute cameo, which included two goals and an assist, has earned him a spot in UEFA's Team of the Week.

On Wednesday evening, PSG dispatched Premier League side Chelsea 5-2 at the Parc Des Princes in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 clash.

It is never easy having to play the second leg away from home, so going to West London with a significant advantage is huge for the team's chances of progressing to the quarter-finals.

Truth be told, it was not the team's best overall performance. There is no doubt at all that Luis Enrique's side can play much, much better than that, as they so often did last season.

But ultimately, when you have the player quality that PSG do, well, it doesn't always matter. And that was very apparent last night, with some absolutely ruthless finishing.

None more so than substitute Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who helped win the game on his own. After being introduced just after the hour mark, he calmly teed Vitinha up for the third goal just over ten minutes later.

Then, around four minutes later, the 25-year-old cut in from the left-hand side and fired an absolutely unstoppable strike past Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen and into the bottom corner. An absolutely ridiculous goal from a sublime footballer.

To finish off, in the final two minutes of stoppage time, the winger got on the end of a cutback from Achraf Hakimi, and managed to squeeze the ball past the keeper, who probably should have done better - but nevertheless, the perfect end to a perfect cameo.

Owing to this performance from the bench, Kvaratskhelia has been named in UEFA's Team of the Week for the round of 16 first legs, despite playing just 28 minutes of the game.

The team, in full, is as follows; Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid); Josip Stanisic (Bayern Munich, Robin le Normand (Atletico Madrid), Ismail Jakobs (Galatasaray); Federico Valverde (Real Madrid), Mario Lemina (Galatasaray), Sondre Fet (Bodo/Glimt); Michael Olise (Bayern Munich), Julian Alvarez (Atletico Madrid), and PSG's very own Kvaratskhelia.

Some very good company to be keeping, and so richly deserved. It was probably a justified decision to have the Georgian international on the bench after a couple of poor games, but there is no doubt it would have made him even more motivated to make an impact and prove Enrique wrong.

You'd now imagine, particularly with no game in Ligue 1 this weekend, that PSG's number seven will have done enough to put himself in the starting XI for the second leg next week.
