As PSG prepare for their game against Athletic Club, The Club will be without Ousmane Dembele due to the onset of the flu.

Injuries and Paris Saint-Germain looks inseperable this season, as Paris Saint Germain's manager Luis Enrique has found out.  It's becoming increasingly difficult to have a full squad available for a fixture during the course of the season as we approach end of 2025.

Fortunately for the Parisians, Desire Doue has seemingly recovered from his long term hamstring injury, and has been included in the matchday squad for their Champions league clash at Athletic Club in Bilbao tomorrow.

Achraf Hakimi is another player who has started individual training after a one month absence owing to an ankle injury.  PSG's 2-1 defeat against Bayern Munich last month, saw the full back come off the pitch. He is set to travel to Morocco and continue his rehabilitation there as he looks to be ready before Morocco's opening AFCON game on 21st December against Comoros.

PSG Superstar Set to Miss Champions League Match

Ousmane Dembele, the Ballon D'or winner has been left out of their squad for the midweek clash due an illness.

The 28-year-old had an inconsistent season till now as he has only featured in 16 games for the Parisiens, while missing domestic fixtures against Lyon and Le Havre with a calf injury before returning during PSG's 5-3 win over Tottenham in the Champions League.

Dembele managed just 12 minutes against Spurs, and made further substitute appearances in their defeat to Monaco, and 5-0 thrashing of Rennes in Ligue 1.

Despite his injuries the player has racked up a total of five goals and four assists in all competitions and during PSG's 5-0 victory against Rennes, Dembele set up Goncalo ‍Ramos in stoppage time, suggesting a gradual return to sharpness before illness struck ahead of Wednesday's European tie.

Although the city of Bilbao's morale will be high after their 1-0 victory against Atletico Madrid last weekend,  PSG should comfortably pick up all three points during their UCL clash tomorrow. They are currently placed second in the league table, while their opponents sit in the 27th position in the 36 team league phase of the elite competition.

The absence of a player of Dembele's is always a blow to any club, but with the talent at the helm of Luis Enrique, PSG will look to defend their European title by qualifying directly into the knockout phase of the tournament as they aim for a top eight finish in the league phase.
