Several stars are sidelined as PSG dives back into Ligue 1 action, facing Paris FC with a depleted squad.

After nine days of vacation, Paris Saint-Germain's players resume the path to training this Tuesday at the Campus. Between five and six players are expected to be absent, although some injured players are expected to report to Poissy to check in with the medical staff.

Return day for PSG. As the year 2025 comes to a close, the season resumes this Tuesday after nine well-deserved days of vacation. Luis Enrique's men are called for 5 p.m. this Tuesday at the Poissy Campus to begin preparing for the first derby of the month against Paris FC this Sunday evening as part of Ligue 1's 17th matchday.

A return that will take place without Achraf Hakimi, who made his grand return to the pitch Monday evening with Morocco against Zambia during the Africa Cup of Nations, 55 days after his left ankle injury. Ibrahim Mbaye is also at the Africa Cup of Nations and will face Benin this Tuesday evening with Senegal starting at 8 p.m.

Before the break, four PSG players were injured, including two against Flamengo: Lee Kang-in, victim of a left thigh muscle injury and "unavailable for several weeks" according to the PSG medical update, as well as Matvey Safonov, who suffers from a fractured left hand and whose return is expected in mid-January.

These two players will not be able to train this Tuesday, but according to Le Parisien, they are expected today at the Campus to check on their injury with the medical staff. There is, however, no chance of seeing them on the pitch at Parc des Princes on Sunday against Paris FC.

Two other PSG players were injured before the break against Vendee Fontenay Foot in the Coupe de France: David Boly, victim of a blow to the ankle, and Quentin Ndjantou, who suffers from a grade 3 hamstring injury according to Le Parisien and whose absence was estimated, as of Dec. 23, between six and eight weeks (he should therefore theoretically return within five to seven weeks now).

While Ndjantou will not be able to train this Tuesday, David Boly should, in theory, be recovered, but that remains to be confirmed. Victim of muscle fatigue before the break, Bradley Barcola was exempt from the Coupe de France round of 32, as were Willian Pacho, Marquinhos, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. All are expected this Tuesday for the return, like Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, and Desire Doue, who were in Dubai on Sunday to receive their Globe Soccer Award.

The group expected for PSG's return:

  • Goalkeepers (3): Chevalier, Marin, James
  • Defenders (8): Marquinhos, Pacho, Nuno Mendes, Zabarnyi, Hernandez, Beraldo, Kamara, Boly
  • Midfielders (5): Vitinha, Ruiz, Neves, Zaire-Emery, Mayulu
  • Forwards (5): Dembele, Doue, Barcola, Kvaratskhelia, Ramos
  • Absent (5): Hakimi, Mbaye (AFCON), Safonov, Lee, Ndjantou (injured)
