On the eve of Paris Saint-Germain vs. Paris FC, the Rouge & Bleu club issued its traditional medical update, and the absentees will number six on PSG's side for this Coupe de France Round of 16 match. In bad news, Lucas Hernandez has been unexpectedly ruled out.
PSG will face Paris FC this Monday in the Coupe de France round of 16 without any reinforcements from the medical room. Luis Enrique has received no good news from the infirmary in recent hours, as shown by the day's medical update, which the club has just released.
The three injury absentees remain the same. But to these expected absences has been added bad news, namely that Lucas Hernandez is ill and "is resting."
Regarding the three injured players, PSG specifies that "Quentin Ndjantou continues his treatment protocol," while Kang In Lee and Matvei Safonov are doing adapted work."
The return is relatively close for the latter two, particularly the South Korean. For the Russian goalkeeper, a return to competition was previously mentioned for late January or early February after his left-hand fracture.
Given that Achraf Hakimi and Ibrahim Mbaye are still involved in the Africa Cup of Nations – the Moroccan fullback and Senegalese winger will play their respective semifinals next Wednesday – this means there will be no fewer than six absentees on PSG's side for this second derby of the season against Paris FC.
