Argentine sources hint Enzo Fernandez might depart Chelsea this summer. PSG and Real Madrid reportedly maintain interest in the World Cup winner.

Targeted by PSG, but holding a long contract at Chelsea, Enzo Fernandez could leave the Blues this summer, according to the latest leaks from Argentina.

A provider of an assist and scorer at the Parc des Princes last week, Enzo Fernandez was not the last to get involved in the scuffle caused by Pedro Neto's push on a ball boy, and also did not miss the opportunity to taunt after his goal, while pushing Vitinha somewhat violently at the final whistle, out of frustration.

Would this put an end to the idea of a future transfer to PSG, for someone whose image has already been tarnished since the controversy over the racist chant with the Argentine national team? Last January, L'Équipe revealed that PSG was closely following his case, the Argentine apparently having desires to go elsewhere.

The fact that he is represented by an agency co-owned by Javier Pastore necessarily gave credence to the hypothesis of a transfer to PSG in the medium term, but Chelsea must first open the door, and at a reasonable price.

Knowing that the Argentine World Cup champion was bought for 121 million euros by the Blues and is under contract until 2032, the case promises to be relatively complicated, economically speaking.

In Argentina, a transfer this summer is not ruled out. Journalist Gaston Edul, very close to the Argentine internationals, thus tweeted in recent hours: "Enzo Fernández could leave Chelsea during the next European summer transfer window," he posted, without saying more.

TyC Sports, the channel where he works, also published an article on its website confirming that Enzo Fernández indeed had real chances of moving this summer. Even if it is not said clearly, it is understood where the information comes from (from the player and his entourage, therefore).

It had already leaked to L'Équipe that Enzo Fernandez had taken Enzo Maresca's departure badly and was questioning his future. A reflection that could intensify in the event of the Blues not qualifying for the next Champions League. TyC Sports reports that Real Madrid and PSG showed interest in him during the last transfer window, and both clubs remain possible destinations for him.

Real Madrid has never replaced Luka Modric and Toni Kroos and will need to strengthen in midfield this summer. PSG, for its part, has a fairly well-stocked midfield and just recruited the promising Dro Fernandez, 18, this winter. But Enzo Fernandez, 25, is a much more established player, and the case will be closely followed, even if it promises to be complicated, given the competition, his contractual situation in London, and his controversial image.
