AFC Bournemouth’s development squad ended their season with defeat in a friendly against Paris Saint-Germain, but the match provided a valuable test against elite opposition for Alan Connell’s young side.

PSG started strongly at the Campus du Paris Saint-Germain, scoring early before doubling their lead midway through the first half, despite Bournemouth gradually growing into the game and creating chances through Zac Christie, Rees-Dottin and Jonny Day.

The hosts continued their dominance after the break, adding two more quick goals to move firmly in control. Bournemouth did manage a memorable moment just before the hour mark when Michael Dacosta Gonzalez produced an excellent long-range strike to deny PSG a clean sheet.

PSG quickly restored their advantage and eventually added a sixth goal as Bournemouth continued to battle until the final whistle. Although the result was one-sided, the young Cherries showed resilience throughout and gained valuable experience from facing one of Europe’s top clubs.
