Bournemouth Women Continue Major Squad Revamp with Tilly Wilkes Arrival

Tilly Wilkes has joined AFC Bournemouth Women following the expiry of her contract with Burnley, where she captained the side to the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division title while remaining unbeaten throughout the campaign.

The experienced defender, who previously played for AFC Fylde Women and spent five seasons in the United States with the University of South Alabama and Louisiana State University, said she was excited to join a club whose ambition and growth had impressed her.

Head of Women's Football Bruce Suraci described Wilkes as an outstanding technical player who brings leadership, experience and professionalism, believing her qualities will make her a key asset both on the pitch and within the local community.
