Marco Rose's side have made it 4 wins in a row in all competitions after humiliating Manchester United at Old Trafford, scoring 11 goals and conceding 0. Here are the 3 main talking points from this afternoon's excellent display.

3 things to learn from Bournemouth’s 4th win in a rowMore Videos

Firstly, the team selection this afternoon by Marco Rose was spot on. As predicted yesterday in the Predicted XI piece, Djordje Petrovic, Adam Smith, Lewis Cook and Rayan all came back into the starting XI after being rested against AC Milan, and today showed why that was such a good choice.

Manchester United are known for being slow in transition, and have struggled against midfields that are both physical and relentless with their press. Lewis Cook is a more physical midfielder than Ryan Christie, and added some bite into the midfield as opposed to Christie's better ability on the ball.

Adding to that, Christie played the full 90 on Thursday, whilst Lewis Cook played less than 30 minutes. With the roles being reversed today, Cook set the tone for AFCB in the middle, and when Christie was introduced in the second half, he added much needed energy and dynamism in the midfield and looked unbelievable.

The attack is starting to click now for Cherries, with all 4 attackers getting involved in the goals today. Tavernier, Rayan and Evanilson all found the back of the net, with Justin Kluivert whipping in a sumptuous delivery for Rayan's goal to open the scoring for Bournemouth this afternoon.

In all competitions, Evanilson has a staggering 8 goal involvements in 11 games this season, with Marcus Tavernier having 6 goals in 11 starts so far this campaign.

As well as this, Rayan played with exceptional confidence today, and on another day could have scored a hat-trick. The Brazilian looked fresh, confident and bullied the Manchester United backline.

Overall, Bournemouth's attack is working much better as a unit, topped off by the stat than Evanilson has already equalled his goal involvements in the 25/26 season in all comps this season, in 27 less games!

To finish, the defence is looking better than ever under Marco Rose now. Set piece defending is better, playing out from the back is slicker and is helping Bournemouth progress through the thirds to great effect and is a huge reason as to why Bournemouth have won their last 4 games.

James Hill was collosal at the back, Truffert bombed forwards and was playing like an extra attacker at times, and Djordje Petrovic looks like he is turning into an excellent keeper for AFC Bournemouth.

Last season, goals were never an issue for AFCB, it was always the defence that let them down, just like the start of this season. However, when Cherries went 18 unbeaten, their defence was resolute and hard to break down, and now as soon as the leaks in the defence have been plugged, Rose's men have won 4 in a row!
