Tomorrow's historic Europa League opener in San Sebastian is set to be one for the history books but how will Marco Rose's side line up to face a Real Sociedad team that it set to be Cherries hardest game in the league phase?
As AFCB are playing 2 games in 3 days before the first international break of the season, rotation will be paramount to ensure that injuries are kept to a minimum, the performance of the team is kept at a high level and certain members of the squad are kept happy. Real Sociedad will be a tough test for Rose's team which means that a strong starting team will be needed.
REUTERS/Vincent WestGK: Djordje Petrovic. There is a chance that Michele Di Gregorio is utilised as the cup goalkeeper this season as both goalies are a similar level. However, a game of this magnitude against one of the best teams in the Europa League will be to big of a jump from playing against Lincoln City in the EFL Cup.
LB: Adrien Truffert. The Frenchman is one of the most consistent performers in red and black and is completely undroppable from the team at this stage of the season.
LCB: Antonio Silva. The 22 year old has fit in like a glove since joining from Benfica, and is arguably the only choice at left centre back at the moment.
RCB: James Hill. He will be able to deal with Mikel Oyarzabal running in behind due to his pace, and is forming a great partnership with SIlva at the back.
RB: Adam Smith. Club captain, leader, legend and will be much needed experience at the back for Bournemouth, and has started the season off very well.
6: Tyler Adams: Personally, Adams will play 60 minutes and be replaced by Lewis Cook in order to manage his minutes since returning from injury.
8: Alex Scott. The Starboy, will be in every AFC Bournemouth team no matter what.
Reuters/Matthew Childs10: Ryan Christie. The 31 year old is in great goalscoring form, and looked dynamic and progressive with his play when substituted on for Kluivert on Saturday. JK has started every game in all comps this season and needs a rest for Liverpool on Sunday.
LW: Marcus Tavernier. Cherries top scorer, is the most consistent performer in this side and will help out defensively as well.
RW: Ben Gannon-Doak. Rayan can do with being rested and is the type of profile that will be able to exploit the tired legs if he comes on with Cook as a double substitution around the hour mark and Doak has looked very sharp under Rose.
ST: Evanilson. 3 assists in 4 games is a great return for the Brazilian, and the 26 year old has a hat-trick in European Football for Porto so knows how to find the back of the net in Europe.
