AFC Bournemouth made it five games without conceding as they beat Aston Villa 3-0 in the Carabao Cup.
Since losing 5-1 to Chelsea, the Cherries have scored 14 goals unanswered and have now matched their best run in the competition, heading into the quarter finals.
Aston Villa, the first ever winners of the League Cup, head out of the competition, ending a run of four consecutive wins.

Alvaro Rodruigez capped off the evening with a smart left footed finish to put the home team in the hat for the next round.
The Cherries once again took an early lead in the seventh minute from a pressing start, as Marcus Tavernier lifted the ball over the top to Julio Soler.
Imago // Pro Sports ImagesThe left-back controlled the ball beautifully, lofting it into the perfect area for Adli to hit the roof of the net from close range.
Ben Gannon Doak then went close in the 15th minute, shifting on to his right to take the ball away from Tyrone Mings.
The Scotsman powered the ball towards goal, but Marco Bizot stood strong to tip the ball over the bar.
Villa had two good chances around the half hour mark to level the score. The first was a George Hemmings attempt from the left side of the box that was fired over, and Michele Di Gregorio made a good save from Brian Madjo for the second.

Bournemouth started the second half with fire, as Gannon Doak had a shot saved immediately in the 46th minute, and then Sanchez’s attempt was met with Bizot’s fingertips to tip the ball on to the bar.
But the resulting corner earned the Cherries their second in the 51st minute. Cook played a one-two with Gannon Dak from the corner, whipping the ball in to the box.
Imago // Pro Sports ImagesThe cross however snuck all the way past Bizot and in at the near post, earning Bournemouth’s captain his first of the season.
The Cherries earned their third goal in the 69th minute, as substitute Tyler Adams threaded through to Rodruigez, who took the ball away from Taylor Harwood-Bellis and found the bottom right hand corner.
