This Pre Season period is crucial for every member of the AFC Bournemouth first team squad to stake their claim to be a starter in Marco Rose's system, but which 3 players have had the biggest impact in Cherries first 2 games?
Since their return to the Premier League in 2022, AFC Bournemouth have had a reputation for boasting some of the most exciting attacking talent in the Premier League, which has led to the competition for a starting spot in the front line being ever-present.
Following loan spells to EFL Championship sides Watford, and most recently Preston North End, there was no clear picture of where Daniel Jebbison fitted in at AFCB, with Evanilson, Kroupi, Unal and other attackers clearly being ahead of the Canada International in the pecking order.
However, on Cherries' training camp in Austria, Jebbison scored 2 goals and notched 2 assists in just 2 games, looking increasingly more confident in front of goal as well. Jebbison recently stated that Marco Rose's system suits him as a player to a T, and he is willing to stay at the club and fight for a place in the team for the upcoming season. With squad depth being essential to balancing European and domestic football, this season could be one where Daniel Jebbison get regular minutes for AFCB.

Coming to the South Coast from Liverpool for a fee north of £25 million, Doak was tipped to be a key player in Andoni Iraola's system due to his explosive pace and direct style of dribbling, but despite there being a different manager at the helm this season, Doak's fast paced style of play will still be a great weapon to have across all competitions in 2026/27.
The 20 year old scored a goal in each of AFCB's games against St Pauli & Augsburg, and has looked incredibly sharp on and off the ball. With Junior Kroupi being injured for a number of months, minutes will need to be managed all across the front line, which will leave minutes for Gannon-Doak to make an impact once Premier League football returns.

Often labelled as an Alex Scott lookalike, the Welsh u19 International shares a plethora of similar qualities to Scott, boasting confidence when carrying the ball and passing between the lines very well.
Stevens featured in the 2nd half vs St Pauli, and played 1 of the 30 minute quarters vs Augsburg, and with a midfield 5 of Alex Scott, Ryan Christie, Tyler Adams, Lewis Cook and Alex Toth, Stevens has some great role models that can teach the 19 year old a lot in the upcoming season.
