With just over a month until AFC Bournemouth kick off for the 26/27 season, fans should expect to see plenty of movement in order to bolster the squad for our first season balancing Premier League and Europa League football.
The most important position that needs addressing is the left CB position. With Marcos Senesi now officially being a Spurs player, AFCB need to fill that void. The player that would be perfect for that is Bologna's Jhon Lucumi.
Lucumi started every game for Colombia in their 2026 World Cup campaign, and has been a Colombian international since 2019. At 28 years old, he has much needed experience across all competitions, with 13 games played in the Champions League and 23 games played in the Europa League as well.
Cherries were linked with Lucumi last summer, which shows that the board think highly of him, and as Bologna did not qualify for Europe last season that makes him a realistic target for AFCB.

At 27 years old, he still has plenty of room to develop, and has played in the Bundesliga for Augsburg and is currently playing in LaLiga for Sevilla.
Vargas has 9 goal involvements in 20 starts for Sevilla last season, which shows that he can deliver despite not starting every game in the league. He can also play off the right, off the left and in the 10 as well, which will provide great cover and depth for star players like Kroupi, Rayan and Kluivert.

The Norwegian started against Brazil in the Round of 16, and also impressed in the group stage against Iraq, whilst featuring against Senegal as well. Ryerson notched an impressive 15 assists in the Bundesliga, and has been one Dortmund's most consistent performers since he joined in January 2023.
AT 28 years old, he doesn't necessarily fit the mould of being a raw, inexperienced talent from a smaller league, but would be a huge statement of intent if Cherries could get a deal for a player of his caliber over the line.
Ryerson has played 32 games in the Champions League, as well as 6 in the Europa League and 5 in the Conference league too.
