Martin Keown believes that fans have already seen the best save of the season, after David Raya's sublime stop as Arsenal beat Leeds United.
Arsenal came from behind to beat Leeds United on Saturday afternoon, moving level on points with Manchester City in the Premier League table, who travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Sunday evening.
The Gunners went behind as James Justin scored at The Emirates for the third time in his career, before Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimarães both scored to complete the comeback within 15 minutes.
It was the second time Guimarães came off the bench to put his side ahead since moving to north London from Newcastle United this summer, after breaking the deadlock against his former club's fierce rivals at the Stadium of Light in September.
Whilst Arsenal boasted more of the ball, David Raya was the busier of the two goalkeepers, especially in the first-half. The Spaniard was forced into action three times, whilst his Leeds counterpart James Trafford made just one save when Kai Havertz headed from close range.
Raya's most important save of the half came on the stroke of half-time, when he denied Gabriel Gudmundsson an opener from the left of the six-yard box.
Jayden Bogle launched a cross into the box from the right flank, and whilst it evaded Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the Swedish wing-back was left unmarked at the back post and attempted a strike from a tight angle.
The Arsenal goalkeeper held out a firm left hand however, and parried the ball into the path of Bukayo Saka, who cleared to relieve the Gunners from pressure.
The effort did not appear to pose much threat of giving Leeds their first lead at Arsenal in the league since May 2003, and was calculated to generate just 0.20 xG.
However, former Arsenal defender Martin Keown claimed at half-time, 'That is a wonderful save, honestly. You will not see a better save this season!'
The save came in Raya's first match since winning the Premier League's September Save of the Month award, for his penalty save to deny Enzo Le Fée and Sunderland an opener at the Stadium of Light.
It was the fourth time the Spaniard had earned the award, as he surpassed former Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and now trails only Jordan Pickford, who boasts five.
Raya's bigger achievement, though, came last season as he was awarded the Premier League's Golden Glove for the third consecutive year, joining Pepe Reina, Joe Hart and Ederson as the only goalkeepers to achieve the feat.
He will be hoping to make history this season as the first to win it four seasons in a row, whilst helping Arsenal in their bid to retain the Premier League title for the first time.
