Arsenal have confirmed a pre-season trip to Dublin to face Real Betis on August 5, adding another senior summer fixture ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Arsenal have announced that they will face Real Betis in Dublin as part of their pre-season schedule, with the match set to be played at the Aviva Stadium on August 5. The fixture adds an Irish date to Mikel Arteta’s summer plans and gives Arsenal another competitive test before the new season begins.

The club confirmed the game on Monday and said further ticket details and information will be released in due course. Real Betis are an established La Liga side, and the match should offer a useful step in the team’s preparations for 2026/27.

Pre-season fixtures are often viewed through the lens of fitness and rhythm, but they also help shape the broader mood around a club’s summer. Arsenal’s decision to take the first team to Dublin gives supporters in Ireland a chance to see Arteta’s side up close, while also placing the squad in a high-profile venue for one of their summer outings. The Aviva Stadium has regularly hosted major sports events, and it gives the game a bigger feel than a routine behind-closed-doors friendly.

There is also a small Arsenal link on the Betis side, with former Gunner Hector Bellerin currently part of the Spanish club’s squad. The defender came through Arsenal’s academy and made 239 first-team appearances before leaving in 2022.

The club’s summer schedule is beginning to take shape, Real Betis are now confirmed as opponents in Dublin, and supporters have another date to look ahead to as preparations for the next campaign begin.
