Ben White highlights Gabriel Magalhães’ dominant aerial prowess as the elite trait he covets most, following a milestone performance that kept the Gunners’ title charge firmly on track.
Arsenal full-back Ben White has revealed what ability he would take from one of his Gunners teammates if he was able to.
Speaking in an interview with MenInBlazers, the 29-year-old stated he would take Gabriel Magalhães’s heading ability. The interviewer asked, “If you could have a single skill from one of your fellow Arsenal teammates, what would it be and why?” to which he responded, “I think Big Gabi’s heading. Crazy!” An answer that was very on brand after yesterday afternoon’s showing.
Gabriel Magalhães scored Arsenal’s important second goal in yesterday’s 2-0 victory against David Moyes’ Everton side, with a strong headed finish following a perfectly pinpoint cross from Ben White. This now takes the Brazilian’s all-time Arsenal headed goals to 14. The three points for Arsenal closed the gap on table-toppers Manchester City, who now lead the league on goal difference following their 2-1 defeat at Villa Park.
Both Gabriel and Ben White reached a landmark milestone for the Arsenal in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Moyes’ men. For Gabriel, it was 200 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, whilst for Ben White, it was 200 appearances in all competitions.
Over this period, the Brazilian has scored a staggering 21 goals and provided eight assists from centre-back and was influential in Arsenal winning their first Premier League title in 22 years. Gabriel has been included in the PFA Team of the Season in the last three campaigns but is yet to ever receive an Arsenal Player of the Season award, with a best-placed finish of third in the 2025/26 title-winning campaign, behind David Raya in second and Declan Rice, who won the award.

White’s assist for Gabriel in yesterday’s crucial victory was the first time Arsenal’s big Brazilian had found the net in the 2026/27 campaign, whilst the assist for the Englishman took his tally up to three in the league, where he sits joint second with eight other players. Both have enjoyed substantial minutes in the early parts of the campaign. Gabriel is viewed by many as one of the best centre-backs in the world, whilst White has taken his chance on the right-hand side thus far with the injuries to Timber and Hincapié.
Arsenal take on League Two side Fleetwood Town on Tuesday evening in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, and with a trip to Anfield on the horizon next Sunday, the two are expected to be rested for the cup tie at Highbury.
