Arsenal have been dealt an injury blow ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Lille, with Piero Hincapié and Martin Zubimendi both absent from training on Monday.
The pair were missing as Mikel Arteta's squad continued preparations for their first home match of the league phase, just two days after both players picked up knocks following the 2-1 victory over Leeds United.
Arsenal came from behind to beat Daniel Farke's side on Saturday afternoon, with Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimarães cancelling out James Justin's opener to momentarily move level on points with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, before their victory over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday evening.
However, the relief of victory at The Emirates was short-lived. Hincapié, who replaced Calafiori in the final ten minutes, suffered an ankle injury during the post-match warm-down, as those who did not play a large amount of the game played a small-sided match after full-time.
Cristhian Mosquera and Kepa Arrizabalaga came to his aid, and the Spanish goalkeeper arrived him off the pitch on his back to receive treatment, with Hincapié clutching his right ankle in clear discomfort.
It was his first appearance in over a month, after a muscular injury in September ruled him out of international duty. Hincapié has been hampered by groin and muscular issues throughout his stay in north London, sitting out 16 games before this latest setback.
Zubimendi also sustained a knock during the same session, with the severity of the injury yet to be confirmed. The Spaniard was an unused substitute against Leeds, the first time he had not featured for Arsenal since January.
Both players had been tipped to start against Lille, but their absence from training suggests neither is likely to be involved in the squad on Tuesday night.
In a boost for the Gunners, though, William Saliba has returned to grass and is doing individual work as he continues his rehabilitation from his back injury over the summer.
The Gunners' defensive group was bolstered by the return of Jurriën Timber, who played his first match at The Emirates since March, as Arsenal beat Leeds. English pair Ben White and Ezri Konsa both started the match despite injury issues in recent weeks.
Arsenal gear up for a busy month, travelling to Nottingham Forest and Bayern Munich after they host Lille. The Gunners then return home to welcome Everton, before travelling to Highbury Stadium to face Fleetwood Town in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
