Bournemouth fans couldn't hide their excitement after Saturday's victory at the Emirates, with supporters keen to praise a number of stand-out players that pulled the strings in Cherries' classy away performace.
At full-time, Back of the Net's "Full Time Cherries" sequence spoke to a number of the travelling contingent right after the full-time whistle, and here are some of the highlights of what they said.
Ollie Parram
© Back of the Net YoutubeThey looked very, very wobbly, especially from the offset on the second half. I think we deserved the win. It's refreshing. I was just hoping, today, as long as we don't get a draw, I'm happy.
Alex Scott, especially in this new role that that he has grown into is absolutely phenomenal. One of the best players on the pitch by far. Alex Jimenez, an absolute outstanding last ditch tackle - I can't I can't praise them enough for that sort of performance. I was I was absolutely taken aback by that first goal.
Andy Jennings
© Back of the Net YoutubeIt was very good. We made them look average. Their weakness is their full backs, we played on that in the first half. Maybe we got a little bit fortunate with the first goal, but we kept pressing forward and I said, with 25 minutes to go, if we lose from here, we've come to the best team in the league and we we've played into a standstill and we're still trying to win.
There was a time when we sat back and maybe thought a point will do us here, but we kept going forward, kept going forward, and even at 2-1, we kept going forward. I'm really really pleased with the way the team played, pleased for the manager, and pleased for some of the fringe players who came on and got a little bit of a part of it as well - people like Toth at the end - really really pleased.
Ben Phillips
© Back of the Net YoutubeWe were really really good. I've got I've got absolutely no idea what the stats are, but we we we grafted so so well and I think that shows maybe why we can improve on where we finished last season because we didn't seem to quite have that grit last season to dig in and find the three points when it when the going gets tough and we've done it again. So yeah, I'm I'm absolutely buzzing and it's thoroughly deserved.
Steve Hensman
© Back of the Net YoutubeWe thoroughly deserved that - from all 11 players out on that pitch - man for man. I think won all their duels, battled better than them. They looked nervous. We I think we smelt blood a little bit.
They're going to have their periods of play where they were chucking balls into the box, corners, but I thought we dealt with it all really really well. Some of the individual performances today were great, but also I would put it up there with one of the best away performances we've ever seen.
Truffert had to deal with Madueke and then Max Dowman - who's massively rated, and he had them both in his pocket the whole game; and you've got Jimenez on the other side coming in with last ditch challenges against Gyökeres in the 80th minute - and he he absolutely looked out on his feet.
Alex Scott superb, Christie superb, Tavernier superb, Petrovic did really well today. I just think collectively we were better than them. All game.
They weren't expecting our intensity. I don't think they dealt with our intensity at all. They couldn't get out of their half a lot of the time. We have got to get that man [Iraola] to sign on the dotted line.
It was one of the best away days I've ever had as a Cherries fan.
