Bournemouth striker Evanilson has offered an insight into his growing connection with AFC Bournemouth, reflecting on his favourite moments in a Cherries shirt - including his standout goal so far.

Speaking on the Premier League’s official YouTube channel, the Brazilian forward spoke warmly about life on the south coast, highlighting the support he has received from head coach Andoni Iraola and his staff, as he continues to settle and thrive in the top tier of English football.

Ranking some of his best moments so far, he suggested that his goal against Manchester City last season, Bournemouth's only ever win against the Citizens, has probably been his finest moment so far.

"I think that goal was the best one I've scored. It was really hard and against a great team too. It was a big match. I was really happy. I had to adjust quickly. The ball bounced, and it was a quite tough finish. Thankfully when I got up and saw the ball in the net I was so happy, I could hardly believe it.."

"We usually study the opposition before each match and our manager said we had to attack the space between the two centre backs because at some point the chance would come and I believed in what he said it was a really important goal - for me, but also for our supporters. I'm glad I could help the team achieve that objective. They've helped me a lot since I arrived. They've always been patient with me and they still are".

Since joining AFC Bournemouth from Porto in the summer of 2024, Evanilson has quickly established himself as a potent attacking presence in the Premier League, delivering a solid goal return that has bolstered the Cherries' front line under manager Andoni Iraola. In his first two seasons at the club, the Brazilian forward has registered 16 league goals and one assist in 60 appearances (including 29 outings with six goals and zero assists in the 2025/26 campaign to date, from 25 starts and around 2,200 minutes played).

He has shown a particular knack for big-game moments, with several of his 2025/26 strikes coming against so-called "big six" sides. Though his output has occasionally been hampered by minor fitness niggles, Evanilson’s movement, aerial ability and finishing have made him a reliable focal point in attack.

As well as commenting fondly on two goals at Tottenham Hotspur (in this campaign's 1-0 win, but also a 2-2 draw the previous season), he expressed that first goal for the Cherries against Southampton was a key moment for him.

"I remember everything. I remember the foul. I looked at Tavernier and I knew he was going to take it [the free kick] quickly and it was perfect. It was my first goal for the club and I was really happy about it. It was unforgettable day. When I saw our player running towards the ball, I made the right movement and I believed it would work. I went for it to try and reach the ball and thankfully I got there and it worked out".

He also speaks fondly of Iraola and his coaching team, underlining the influence that he has had on his career at AFC Bournemouth, and his fondness of playing for th Cherries as a result.

"I knew how difficult it was to play in the Premier League since I've arrived the manager helped me the coaching staff the players. I knew it would be hard. I have had to work twice as hard and they have helped me adapt for the team and showed me the types of movements that cause problems for opponents".

"I'm still learning from them and I will keep improving alongside the coaching staff".

With his confidence growing and his bond with both the supporters and coaching staff strengthening, Evanilson’s reflections offer a glimpse into a player still very much on an upward trajectory. Backed by Andoni Iraola and driven by a desire to keep improving, the Brazilian appears determined to build on his early impact - suggesting that his best moments in a Bournemouth shirt may still lie ahead.
