Brentford has always been about more than what happens on the pitch.
Lifelong supporter Paul Simpson, who became a season-ticket holder at just 11 years old, is receiving end-of-life care and thought he may never get the chance to watch the Bees in person again.
With the help of the London Wish Ambulance and Brentford, Paul returned to the Gtech with his wife Wendy, watched the Bees beat Chelsea 3-0 and reunited with supporters he had sat alongside for years.
It is a powerful reminder of the role a football club can play in people’s lives, and why Brentford is so much more across the community than just a football club!
